Star Trekkin'

So the IT department at work decided to do Star Trek as their Halloween theme this year, which plays right into my wheelhouse. I've done my movie costume at least twice before, and my Klingon costume once before, so I wanted to do something new this year. Usually, The Next Generation is more my style than the original series is, but I happened to get some new toys over the summer...

...and I thought it would be cool to make a costume to go with them.  So, here is my new original series captain's costume:
